Charlie co-founded uLab Systems in 2015 and leads its technology strategy and innovation roadmap. Previously, he was an early leader at Align Technology, serving as Director of Software Engineering and later CTO during Invisalign’s formative years. He developed the software platform and manufacturing systems that enabled large-scale clear aligner production and helped propel Align’s rapid growth through IPO. After Align, Charlie founded and led ventures in medical devices, dental solutions, and location-based technologies.

As a high school student, Charlie won the National Mathematics Award in China – twice. He holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from Caltech and a BS in EE from the University of Science and Technology of China.

Fun Facts: I started running about 9 years ago, and have completed over 400 half marathons so far. Running builds discipline and endurance, serving as an excellent method for both physical fitness and mental clarity and fostering an environment conducive to strategic thinking. I also volunteer with several organizations to coach entrepreneurs based on my experience and insight.
